Doesn't tallow smell?
No, our products do not have a beefy smell. Through our rendering process as well as the additional natural ingredients, our unscented products have little to no smell. The natural ingredients absorb into the skin leaving little to no scent, making it perfect for those who prefer unscented skincare.
We offer both scented and unscented body butters to suit your preference. Our scented body butters are made with 100% plant-based fragrances, providing a light, pleasant aroma without any synthetic chemicals or artificial fragrances. If you prefer a completely neutral option, our unscented body butters are free from added fragrance but still offer all the nourishing benefits of tallow.
Will it clog my pores or make my skin oily?
No, tallow closely resembles human skin’s natural oils and is easily absorbed. It actually helps balance oil production without causing breakouts or clogged pores. As for the rest of the formulation, we use non-comedogenic ingredients in our products.
Will your products leave my skin feeling greasy?
While tallow is deeply nourishing, it is not greasy. Our tallow-based formulations are designed to provide rich hydration without leaving a heavy, oily residue. Tallow closely mimics the skin’s natural oils, allowing it to absorb effectively while creating a protective barrier to lock in moisture.
That said, we recommend using a small amount of product—just enough to lightly coat the skin. Applying too much can feel overwhelming and may leave a greasy sensation
By starting with a small amount, you’ll experience the full benefits of tallow without any heaviness or residue. It absorbs at a slower rate than lighter moisturizers, but this gives your skin time to fully absorb the nutrients, leaving it soft, nourished, and balanced without a greasy finish.
What if I have sensitive, acne prone skin?
Our tallow-based products are an excellent option for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Tallow closely mimics your skin’s natural oils, which helps balance oil production without clogging pores. It’s non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t block your pores or cause breakouts. Additionally, the vitamins and fatty acids in tallow—like vitamins A, D, E, and K—nourish and soothe the skin, helping to reduce irritation and inflammation, which are common triggers for acne.
Because our products are free from synthetic chemicals, fragrances, and other harsh additives, they are gentle enough for sensitive skin and can help calm redness and inflammation while promoting a clear, balanced complexion.
