Our tallow is sourced exclusively from farms in the USA. All of our animals are grass fed, grass finished, and always free from hormones, vaccines, and antibiotics.

Are your products made from suet tallow?
Yes- we specifically use suet tallow, which is the highest quality form of tallow derived from the fat surrounding the kidneys. Suet tallow is known for its purity, higher nutrient content, and superior skin benefits compared to tallow sourced from other parts of the animal. Its high levels of vitamins and essential fatty acids make it incredibly nourishing for the skin.
Why does my product sometimes have a "pilly" or "grainy" feel?
A slight gritty texture can occasionally occur in our products due to the natural ingredients we use, especially during temperature fluctuations. Since our products are free from synthetic stabilizers or emulsifiers, the fats and oils may solidify at different rates when exposed to changes in temperature, causing a temporary gritty feel.
This texture doesn’t affect the effectiveness of the product. Simply warming the product between your hands before applying will help smooth out the texture, allowing it to melt evenly into your skin. This natural occurrence is a result of our commitment to providing pure, without synthetic preservatives skincare.
Why does the color or consistency of my product look or feel different from photos or previous orders?
Natural ingredients aren't uniform. Botanicals and oils shift in color from harvest to harvest, season to season. Grass-fed tallow from spring pasture looks different from tallow rendered in late fall — the animal's diet and the time of year both affect the final color and texture.
Consistency can also vary slightly. Temperature during shipping and storage, humidity, and natural variation between batches can all make a product feel slightly firmer or softer than a previous tin.
What never changes is the formulation, the sourcing standards, and how the product performs. The photos on our site show a representative batch. Doesn't tallow smell?
No, our products do not have a beefy smell. Through our rendering process as well as the additional natural ingredients, our unscented products have little to no smell. The natural ingredients absorb into the skin leaving little to no scent, making it perfect for those who prefer unscented skincare.
We offer both scented and unscented body butters to suit your preference. Our scented body butters are made with 100% plant-based fragrances, providing a light, pleasant aroma without any synthetic chemicals or artificial fragrances. If you prefer a completely neutral option, our unscented body butters are free from added fragrance but still offer all the nourishing benefits of tallow.
Why are there variations in consistency, color, and smell?
Since we use clean, simple ingredients, slight variations in color or scent are completely normal and expected. These differences are due to factors like the season, diet, and environment of the animals from which we source our tallow, as well as the natural variation in plant-based fragrances used in our scented products.
Unlike synthetic products, which are heavily processed to maintain uniformity, our products are minimally processed to preserve their natural properties. These variations do not affect the quality or effectiveness of the product—each batch still provides the same nourishing benefits for your skin.
Do your products contain soy or gluten?

Yes, our products can be used on both children and babies. We offer our specially formulated Baby Whip specially for infants. This formulation is free from honey, which we’ve left out for infants.
How should I store my products?

Because our formulations are free from synthetic preservatives and stabilizers, the natural ingredients may melt if they get too warm—especially during hot weather or if stored in a warm environment.
If your product does melt, don’t worry! It will still be effective. Simply place it in the refrigerator or a cool area to return it to its original texture. Proper storage helps ensure your products last longer and stay at their best.

I live in a warm area, will my tallow melt during shipping?
While we take extra care to package our products with thermal mailers to protect them during transit, it’s possible that your tallow-based products may soften or melt in high temperatures due to the absence of synthetic stabilizers or chemicals. If melting occurs, don’t worry—the product will still be effective. Simply place the product in a cool environment or refrigerate it, and it will return to its normal texture without losing any of its nourishing properties.
For customers in warmer climates, we recommend retrieving your package as soon as possible after delivery to reduce exposure to heat.
